GLAMA provides compassionate support to families during times of loss by assisting with funeral arrangements and ensuring a respectful, dignified process in alignment with Islamic practices. Our services include helping families with necessary documentation and arranging a burial site, as well as informing the community about the loss, sharing Janazah prayer timings, and encouraging the offering of duas (prayers). We coordinate or assist with the ritual washing of the deceased, when volunteers are available, and supply a burial shroud (kafan) if needed. Additionally, GLAMA organises the Salaatul Janazah (funeral prayer) at the masjid and ensures that the community is informed. Our commitment to ongoing support includes following up with families after the funeral to address any continued needs during their time of mourning. GLAMA’s goal is to ease the logistical burdens on families, providing caring and respectful assistance in these challenging times.
